Now the deadline for the procurement of the paddy crop is till 15th April, letter released
The deadline to procure paddy crops in the state has been increased. Government will procure paddy crops from the farmers till 15th April 2022.The dept of food and civil supply has released orders related to the same. In the letter released by the dept. It is mentioned that the previous deadline to procure paddy crop from the farmers was till 31st of March 2022. The status of the procurement of the paddy is also acknowledged in this letter. In the year 2021-22 the target to procure paddy crop was fixed to 8 lakh metric ton, which was 1.80 lakh metric tons more than the target of the year 2020-21. In the year 2020-21, against the target of 6.085 lakh metric ton, till 30th April 2021, the total procurement was 6.22 lakh metric ton. However, in the year 2021-22 till 31st March, there was an increase of 0.53 lakh metric ton of the procurement of the paddy crop in comparison to the previous financial year.
During this year, in all the districts of Jharkhand, the procurement of the paddy crops is done by Civil Supplies Nigam Limited. During the previous year the procurement in Palamu, Garhwa and Chatra district was done by Bhartiya Khadya Nigam.
In the state till now 270974 farmers have done their registration for selling their paddy crops, which is 63206 more farmers in comparison to the previous year. The registration of the farmers is still continued for selling their paddy crops.
